Where Barbie really ends up

So, as any good crafter knows, the local thrift stores are filled with various goodies and whatnots for us to grab for pennies and upcycle and give new life to. WELL, imagine my surprise as I was walking through a local store the other day I ran across this.
It was a little sad to see Barbie and all her friends just piled up there, naked no less with 1.00 price tags stuck to their bodies. I was trying to figure out why they had no clothing so I grabbed a passing employee and asked. Well, since they want to keep them all at the same price, even if the barbies come with clothes they remove them. They don't even sell the separate clothing at all. It goes in the trash. To small to track.
Who knew this is how our Barbie's ended up. In a mass grave with 50 of her closest friends. LOL!

Keep Calm... hee hee

I made this poster because I love the keep calm vibe and I thought this was really fitting considering that halloween is around the corner and its been scary movie month at our house.

Coffin Invitation

Who wouldn't love receiving this little guy in his coffin as a invitation for a party. I think halloween was really meant for adults. Next to Christmas, its my favorite holiday to decorate. Enjoy! For you ladies living in St George, we have these coffins already die cut for you at the Shop.

Halloween countdowns

So here we have two different Halloween countdown I created for the shop. Both were based on plain chipboard. Such a versatile item to have on hand. There is a little bit of everything going on here. Some washi tape, paper straws, crepe paper, glitter, lace.... you name it I probably stuck a bit of it somewhere.

Bee in my Garden Book

I was given a great book from a customer at the shop and it had the pattern for this awesome hexagon book. SO of course I pulled out a few stamps and got to work. Its all made from a 12x12 paper. the trick is hoe its scored and where your cuts are. If people are interested I will post a video.

She

If you have had a teenage daughter you know this face. And honestly, who could blame her. She was on a boat in the middle of Bear Lake being forced to have a good time without a cell phone, those sneaky parents. I don't care how old I get, I LOVE this layout.

What its all about!

This is one of my favorite photos of my girls and I. We lived in Florida for a few years and hanging out on the beach was a near daily event. I love looking back at this pages and remembering all the great experiences we have shared. I love you guys!!!

Having Faith in Myself

So, I have to admit that this layout is two years old, but I love it and I think its important to reflect on our past as we move into our future. I created this layout for myself shortly after I divorced. I was feeling a bit down just due to my age and where I was in life (compared to where I thought I would be, isn't that always the way).
I hope you enjoy it. Never forget ladies, we are exactly where we are supposed to be, sometimes we just dont know why. (but someone else does ;)

Hannah Montana Clipboard Project

So, I know Hannah Montana is a little outdated but this clipboard project was created for a young lady who has just discovered Miss Montana, and adores her. So, of course I had to make her a clipboard to go with all her Hannah Montana stuff. Hope you like. It was actually pretty fun to make with all the wild colors.

Happy Holidays Clipboard

Ok!! So, I have to say that out of anything I have made this was one of my most favorites. Reminds me of the Bing Crosby holiday movies (which I love by the way). I hope you really enjoy this. I will be posting the supply list and instructions.

We are Family Clipboards

So here are two different clipboards based on the same theme. We are Family. The first is more country colors and the second is more to the shabby chic side. I hope you enjoy them.

Welcome to my world.

Well, first let me say thanks for stopping by. I hope what you find here will make you smile and help keep your creative nature grooving. I wanted to start my posts off with some clipboards that I have done. These are essentially mini albums that you hang up. There are a few different ones. I will try to get all the instructions posted so that you can recreate these for yourself.
